The Trails Coalition focus is expanding a network of connected trails through out the St. Croix River Valley.
As the Trails Coalition formed in 2013, projects included working collaboratively with many groups to put plans in place to enable connections to the Loop Trail, a feature of the St. Croix River Crossing Project, in the coming years.
A continuing focus of the Trails Coalition is to facilitate safe commuting and recreational opportunities for area trail users. Joining forces with various other organizations, ongoing projects are underway.
Strong research indicates visiting interesting outdoor recreation locations encourages the exercise sorely needed by Americans to improve overall health. Trails, with their stunning vistas and multiple use possibilities, serve as an incentive to be out and about with all the benefits that accompany those trips.
Creating outstanding trails systems allows residents to enjoy the various accompanying amenities but also invites visitors to do the same. Tourists patronize local business providing a broader tax base for the area.
The Trails Coalition has a strong history of working with local communities to support St. Croix River Valley trail initiatives.
